Las Vegas
 It
is often referred to as “sin city,” but it is a vacation spot that
should not be missed. Las Vegas turned 100 years old in 2005 and looks quite
different than the dusty land in the middle of the dessert it once was. Las
Vegas has become the most exciting city on the planet and is always reinventing
itself. It is truly a place that has something for everyone. If you are not
into gambling, there is plenty of shopping to do. If that doesn’t fit
the bill, the abundance of restaurants, along with fantastic shows, will surely
keep you occupied. The hotels, along with their grandiose lobbies and casinos,
are a sightseeing thrill. Las Vegas is a town where you can visit the “old
style” casinos (such as the Golden Gate Casino on Fremont Street, built
in 1906), travel to Egypt (Luxor Hotel and Casino), see some naughty pirates
(TI - Treasure Island Hotel and Casino), or take a trip to Venice in a gondola
(The Ventian Resort and Casino), all in one visit. The Conservatory at Bellagio
should not be missed on any trip to Vegas as it is always changing. It is amazing
to see the beautiful creations made from plants and flowers.
